A THOROUGH GRILLING
The pieces of the valve grid, carefully set up before brazing it all together. The steel rods are vertical in this shot; the brass rods aren't in place, but they'd lie directly in front of the steel rods. One folded reed will form a back-to-back pair of valves in each cell.
